No Excuse In Person Absentee Voting (Early Voting)

Effective July 1, 2020, all registered voters in Virginia are eligible to vote early in-person, no excuse required.

Early voting begins on September 17, 2021, for the November 2, 2021 General Election. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm at our office at 146 N. Madison Rd., Orange, VA 22960. We will also be open Saturday, October 23, 2021 and Saturday October 30, 2021 from 9am-5pm.

Know Before You Go:

  • Check your registration and make sure everything is correct on the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal.
  • Have your acceptable ID with you. This includes voter card, driver’s license, state ID card, and more.
  • Check out the sample ballots so you can get in, vote, and get moving safely.

There are several ways to Vote Absentee By Mail:

  • Use the Citizen Portal via the Virginia Department of Elections to submit the application electronically
  • Call our office at 540-672-5262 to have the Vote By Mail application mailed to you
  • Print the Vote By Mail Application and send it to us by email, fax (540)672-4872, or mail at the address below
  • Military and Overseas Voters can also use the Federal Post Card Application
  • There is a Ballot Drop Box located in the lobby at 146 N. Madison Rd., Orange, VA 22960, where you can drop the voted ballot. A voter will also be able to drop their voted ballot in a drop box at the polling place on Election Day.
