Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board

Purpose: The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging provides services to individuals of all ages with disabilities related to mental illness, mental retardation, and substance abuse. The agency also operates an array of services for senior citizens in the area from advocacy to meals programs and senior centers.

Number of Members: The RRCSB-AAA has 15 members, 3 each from Orange, Rappahannock, Madison, Culpeper and Fauquier

Terms: Members serve 3 year terms and are eligible to serve two terms if desired.

Meetings: Regular Board meetings: 1:00 p.m. - Second Tuesday of each month - typically no meeting in July.

Committees: 9:30 - 11:30: 4th Tuesday of each month.

Compensation: Members can receive a $600 per year stipend for their participation. The agency also pays for board-related expenses for travel, training and conferences.
