  1. OCPR Acoustic Guitar Lessons - Youth Class

    February 27, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM @ Sedwick Building Upstairs Conference Room

    OCPR is offering youth and adult acoustic guitar lessons to ring in the new year! Classes will be held in the Sedwick Building upstairs conference room (this is the same building as the OCPR office and the Orange Public Library) on Tuesdays, January 9 through February 27. Youth classes will be held from 5:30-6:30pm, with adult classes following from 6:30-7:30pm. The registration fee for youth program is $80, and it is $90 for the adult program. Payment of the fee covers participation in the Students should provide their own guitar, but other materials will be provided. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

  3. OCPR Tai Chi Fundamentals Late Winter Session

    February 27, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Dogwood Village Senior Living Building Wellness Room

    OCPR’s next Tai Chi Fundamentals Session begins February 6, 2018 and will continue for 8 weeks of classes. Have fun learning graceful, slow moving form of exercise that has ancient roots tracing back into the depths of Chinese culture and philosophy of centuries past. Classes are held at Dogwood Village in the Senior Living Building Wellness Room on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Signups for our ongoing Tai Chi programs are accepted at any time during a program. The registration fee for this program is $95. Open to adults. Pre-registration is required.

    February 28, 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM @ Orange Elementary School

    OCPR is offering karate at Orange Elementary school. It is a monthly program held on Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. This program will be instructed by Spike Richards, and offers two options. The first is attending one class per week for $35 per month, the second is attending two classes per week for $60 per month. There will be an additional one-time uniform fee, which will be payable to the instructor. Your child can join at any time, the program is ongoing.

  5. OCPR Rescheduled Pickleball Introduction & Clinic

    February 28, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Taylor Education Administration Complex (Old Prospect) Gym

    Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. In recent years it is has gained quick popularity among seniors, but is a great game for anyone! This clinic will be instructed by USAPA Ambassador W. Scott Walker, and is intended to introduce the game and build interest for more pickleball programming we may offer in the future! The clinic will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at the TEAC (Old Prospect) gymnasium. The address is 200 Dailey Drive, Orange, VA 22960. The registration fee is just $5, but pre-registration is required. Registration is open to adults 18+.
