  1. OCPR Go Girls & Guys! Community Program (UVA Children's Hospital Program)

    April 24, 3:30 PM - 4:15 PM @ Orange Elementary School

    A fun dance-based and wellness program for kids developed by UVA Children’s Hospital. Class will provide 30 minutes of dance fitness by licensed instructors, followed by 15 minutes of discussions about health and wellness topics. The program is free and is being offered afterschool at Orange Elementary School on Tuesdays, April 10-May 15, from 3:30-4:15. Contact OCPR to register.

  2. OCPR Youth Acoustic Guitar Lessons

    April 24, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM @ Sedwick Building Upstairs Conference Room

    OCPR is offering youth acoustic guitar lessons! Classes will be held in the Sedwick Building upstairs conference room (this is the same building as the OCPR office and the Orange Public Library) on Tuesdays, April 17 through June 5. Youth classes will be held from 5:30-6:30pm. The registration fee is $80. Students should provide their own guitar, but other materials will be provided. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

  3. OCPR Tai Chi Fundamentals Spring

    April 24, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Dogwood Village Senior Living Building Wellness Room

    OCPR’s next Tai Chi Fundamentals Session begins April 10, 2018 and will continue for 8 weeks of classes. Have fun learning graceful, slow moving form of exercise that has ancient roots tracing back into the depths of Chinese culture and philosophy of centuries past. Classes are held at Dogwood Village in the Senior Living Building Wellness Room on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Signups for our ongoing Tai Chi programs are accepted at any time during a program. The registration fee for this program is $95. Open to adults. Pre-registration is required.

  4. OCPR OES Karate

    April 25, 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM @ Orange Elementary School

    OCPR is offering karate at Orange Elementary school. It is a monthly program held on Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. This program will be instructed by Spike Richards, and offers two options. The first is attending one class per week for $35 per month, the second is attending two classes per week for $60 per month. There will be an additional one-time uniform fee, which will be payable to the instructor. Your child can join at any time, the program is ongoing.

  5. OCPR Pickleball Introduction & Clinic

    April 25, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Taylor Education Administration Complex (Old Prospect) Gym

    Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. In recent years it is has gained quick popularity among seniors, but is a great game for anyone! This clinic will be instructed by USAPA Ambassador W. Scott Walker, and is intended to introduce the game and build interest for more pickleball programming we may offer in the future! The clinic will be held on April 25, 2018 at the TEAC (Old Prospect) gymnasium. The address is 200 Dailey Drive, Orange, VA 22960. The registration fee is just $5, but pre-registration is required. Registration is open to adults 18+.

  6. OCPR Hornet Volleyball Clinics

    April 29, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Hornet Sports Center (Field House)

    Orange County Parks & Recreation is partnering with the school volleyball coaches to offer a volleyball clinic for girls grades 6-8 who are interested in the sport. This is a great opportunity to get introduced to the sport or refine and build upon existing skills. Learn to play, the right way! These clinics will be held once a week on Sundays, April 8 through May 20 from 4-6pm at the Hornet Sports Center (aka the Field House). Pre-registration is required and the registration fee is $50 per participant (deadline 3/30/18).
