  3. OCPR Introduction to Mah Jongg

    July 11, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Wilderness Branch Library

Why are so many people playing the game of mah jongg? The simple answer is “Because it is loads of fun!” It is simultaneously a simple and complex game, providing excellent “exercise” for the brain. Unlike the solitaire-style computer version, true mah jongg brings people together and creates a comfortable and friendly social experience. The game is very exciting but getting started can be a challenge. To help you overcome the learning curve, this 3-part class offers a step-by-step, hands-on explanation of all aspect of the game. Cost includes an official 2019 game card, which is an annually updated handbook that keeps the game interesting year after year. This class is being graciously hosted at the Wilderness Branch Library in the meeting room on July 11, 18, and 25 from 3-4:30pm. Pre-registration is required and the fee is $50, which includes a 2019 game card.
