Orange County, VA –Orange County Economic Development Office is pleased to announce grant awards totaling $277,725.50, to thirty-nine (39) business and non-profit organizations through the Bounce Back Orange Small Business Grant program.
The Bounce Back Orange Small Business Grant program was funded using federal CARES Act funds provided to Orange County and was administered by the Community Investment Collaborative (CIC). The CARES Act spending plan was authorized by the Orange County Board of Supervisors as part of a multifaceted effort to help the community mitigate the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We are pleased with the interest we received in the grant program and are excited to be able to provide much needed relief to various organizations throughout Orange County who have experienced business disruption from COVID-19. While we know these grants will never replace the loss of revenue businesses have experienced, it is our hope that the funds will provide short-term relief to assist them in remaining open and operational far into the future,” noted Rose Deal, Project Manager for Orange County Economic Development.
