Press Release - Orange County High School to Host Hornet Student Job Fair - Save the Date

The Orange County Economic Development Office, in collaboration with the Orange Workforce Center, Orange County High School, and the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, is in the early planning stages of organizing a job fair targeted for high school students ages 16 and up. The job fair is scheduled for January 10, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Orange County High School, located at 201 Selma Road, Orange, VA 22960 in the cafeteria. Students attending will be served refreshments and attend a workplace readiness workshop directly after school before the event begin, and an activity school bus will be available for transportation home after the event.

Seniors who have finished their graduation requirements during the 1st semester are highly encouraged to attend the job fair. Local employers will be looking to fill immediate job openings for both full-time and part-time positions. This will be a great opportunity for students to find quality work in our community and to learn about local opportunities as they complete their education. A comprehensive listing of participating employers will be made available in the coming weeks.

Hillary Morris, OCHS Career Coach from Germanna Community College states, “I am so excited for the potential of helping students gain employment in their community. Orange County Public Schools is thrilled to bring opportunities like this to its students and hopes to continue building positive relationships between the schools and local businesses.”

If you are a business interested in participating in the job fair or for more information, please contact Rose Deal at the Orange County Economic Development Office at (540) 672-1238 or rdeal@orangecountyva.gov.
