Press Release - Orange County Lifts Local State of Emergency

Following the conclusion of the recent Hurricane Florence, which made landfall in North Carolina on September 14, 2018, Orange County officials have determined to lift the Local State of Emergency at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.  The Local State of Emergency was previously declared on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

At the height of this storm, there were no power outages reported, no property damage reported, and no weather-related emergencies reported. Minimal flooding occurred throughout the County. The Emergency Operations Center was not activated.
