Orange County Litter
Control Committee

The Litter Control Committee is made up of five citizens of Orange County. The committee promotes the Adopt-A-Highway program sponsored by the VA Department of Transportation, presents programs to schools and groups about litter prevention and recycling, tends a garden spot in the town of Orange and works with the Department of Public Works to promote proper waste disposal and recycling within the county. The Litter Control Committee is funded through a non-competitive grant from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
