Who owns OMH? (“OMH” is the FAA identifier for Orange County Airport)
You do! OMH is a county owned airport governed by Orange County, Virginia. The capital funding of the airport is provided by federal (95%), state (3%), and local (2%) authorities. Most of the grounds and facilities maintenance is supported by state (about 50%-90%) reimbursements.
Who runs the airport?
The operations and maintenance of OMH are the responsibility of the Airport’s Manager and its able staff. The governing policies are set by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Each County Supervisor appoints an Airport Commissioner from each voting district for consultation.
What benefit is the airport to the public?

Who plans the airport?
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in conjunction with the County, develops and approves the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) and the administrator and manager writes, in conjunction with an engineering firm employed by the County, the grant requests for the separate Airport Improvement Program (AIP's) projects that develop the plan.
