  1. OCPR Assistance Animal Informational Seminar - CANCELLED, LACK OF REGISTRATIONS

    April 23, 2019, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Sedwick Building Downstairs Conference Room

Have you ever considered getting an assistance animal for yourself or for someone you know? Want to know more about different labels given to animals such as: service, therapy, emotional support, or working? Learn what an assistance animal is and what the ADA has to say about it. We’ll discuss what it takes to have an assistance animal, the advantages and disadvantages of being a handler, and the joyful possibilities ownership entails. Instructor Susan Baccei is a long time Orange County resident and a former educator. She was determined disabled in 2010 due to an acquired brain injury. Getting her service dog Blanket greatly improved her quality of life. With 20 years of animal training experience including therapy, working and service dogs, Susan combines her love of animals with education to help others. Pre-registration is required and the fee is $15. The class will be held 6:30-8pm on April 23, 2019 in the Sedwick Building downstairs conference room.
