Dear Fellow Citizens:
Welcome to the web site of your Orange County Commissioner of the Revenue. The Commissioner of the Revenue is an elected position, responsible for the just and equitable administration of taxes levied by the state and local government.
Since taking office January 1, 2004 we are offering many services and avenues for you to communicate and interact with our office. If you do not see a particular service or topic on our web site please feel free to contact us either by e-mail, telephone or fax.

About the Office
The Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue is a constitutional office of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the County of Orange. The Commissioner is locally elected every four years and is the chief tax authority for the locality from which they are elected. The Commissioner is responsible for maintaining Real Estate ownership information and assessments, for administering the Tax Relief Program and the Land Use program. The Commissioner is also responsible for accurately assessing all personal and business property and for Individual income tax filing and processing in Orange County.

New Applications and Revalidation forms for agricultural/horticultural and forest land use must be filed with the Commissioner of the Revenue no later than
NOVEMBER 2, 2009
To avoid late filing fees applications and revalidations must be filed on or before November 2nd.
