Your business records allow you to monitor cash flow, track deductible expenses, prepare financial statements, and support your tax returns. In this workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of basic bookkeeping tasks and how to use your chart of accounts. You'll learn to record and match revenues & expenses, record receipts & disbursements, handle end-of-period closings, and read financial reports. This seminar is not software-specific and will apply to any manual or computerized accounting system. It is an excellent foundation course for QuickBooks training. This hands-on course will teach you to set up and use a QuickBooks financial system for your business. You'll work with customer and vendor lists, forms, registers, and bank and credit card accounts; enter sales and payments; enter and pay bills; report and analyze financial data. The course is taught assuming participants have a basic understanding of bookkeeping terms and practices. See the Accounting for QuickBooks workshop for fundamentals. Advanced QuickBooks Topics

Take your knowledge and use of QuckBooks to a higher level. This class will cover topics including:
- Tricky Customer Transactions: Voiding a check in a prior period; Customer credits and refunds
- Tricky Vendor Transactions: Vendor credits and pre-payments
- Customizing Reports: Adding data fields; Using filters
- Customizing Forms: Using layout designer; Adding data fields
- Online Banking: Setup; Downloading and recording transactions
- Classes: When to use Class Tracking; Setup and use of classes; Profit & Loss or Balance Sheet by Class
- Budgeting: Setup of budgets by account, project/job or class; Budget vs. Actual Report
- Loan Manager: Setup of loans; Use of Loan Manager to automatically record loan principal and interest.
