LAW ENFORCEMENT

Orange County Sheriff’s Office

The county-wide law enforcement agency is the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Mark Amos manages a staff of deputies and investigators who cover the entire county. The Sheriff is a constitutional officer elected to four-year terms.

Orange Police Department

The Town of Orange Police Department is located at 119 Chapman Street. The Police Chief is James L. Fenwick. For non-emergencies please dial (540) 672-1491 or (540) 672-1492. Dial 911 for all emergency situations.

Gordonsville Police Department

The Town of Gordonsville Police Department is located at 112 South Main Street. The Police Chief is Christopher Spare. For non-emergencies please dial (540) 832-2234. Dial 911 for all emergency situations.

Lake of the Woods Security

Lake of the Woods has its own security force that will respond to certain type incidents within the Lake in conjunction with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. George Dodson is the Chief of Security and can be reached at (540) 972-2020. Dial 911 for all emergency situations.
