School Supplies

Each year the Office on Youth provides Orange County youth with some of the necessary school supplies that they otherwise might not be able to afford. The bulk of the supplies are given the week prior to the start of the school year, however, supplies can be requested any time during the school year.

A majority of supplies are received during our school supply drive at the beginning of August. Labeled tubs are placed in various businesses throughout Orange County for citizens to donate without having to travel to the Office on Youth to contribute. While our yearly drive plays a significant role in our yearly distribution, please be advised donations are accepted throughout the entire year.

In order to receive school supplies, parents are asked to complete a simple form in the office. For more information, please contact the Office on Youth at (540) 672-5484.

**Please check back as it gets closer to August for a complete list of donation locations.

2015 Donation and Distribution Information
Donation bins are located throughout the county in local businesses and county offices. Citizens wishing to make a donation can either bring the school supplies to the Office on Youth, Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or any of the local donation locations.

2015 Drive & Donation:
The Office on Youth would like to thank the Lake of the Woods Church for their continued support of our office and the youth of Orange County. With their help, over 300 children were provided school supplies for the 2015-2016 school year compared to 265 in 2014!

We would like to thank Justin Sarver and the Orange County Public School transportation department for the use of the two school buses for our "Stuff the Bus" campaign. This campaign helped raise awareness for our program and increased the number of donations so that we were able to serve more children.

Finally, we would like to thank the many donors who made this possible: Aerojet, St. Thomas Episcopal Church, The Lourenzo's, Blue Run Baptist Church, 4-H Bit & Bridle Club, Lower Rapidan Church, and so many more that were anonymous.
