Parks & Recreation Events
The Orange County Parks and Recreation Office strives to offer a variety of recreational activities, including classes, clinics, and camps. 2nd Annual Halloween Family Boovie Night - October 27, 2017
No Admission Fee

Join us for a free family movie night at Booster Park! This event will show one animated short (Scared Shrekless) and one feature length film (Casper), beginning at 7pm. Please bring your own lawn chairs and/or blankets. The event is free. There is no admission or viewing fee. Pizza and popcorn will be available for purchase onsite (cash-only please) Both films are rated PG, but parents should still use their own judgement.

4th Annual Office Costume Contest - October 31, 2017
Sponsored by Faye's Office Supply, No Entry Fee
Enter Your Group in Our Contest
Our Office Costume Contest promotes office moral and seeks to find the best group costume in Orange County!  This contest is open to any office, department, or organization that is physically located in Orange County.  There is no fee to enter this contest.  Winning entries will receive trophies, a Faye's Office Supply Gift Card, and of course bragging rights.  Please view our rules before entering, and then visit our photo gallery to get some inspiration for your costumes.  Entries are accepted online through our entry form.

Gingerbread House Contest - Entry Form Due 12/1/17, Gingerbread Structures Due 12/8/17
Hosted in Partnership with the Arts Center in Orange, Sponsored by Krecek Kakes and Elysium Tree Farm.
Making gingerbread houses is an annual tradition for many families, and Orange County Parks & Recreation is hoping to spread the fun through a new Gingerbread House Contest.  This event will be hosted at the Arts Center in Orange.  Submit your entry form by December 1, 2017, and deliver your gingerbread house to the Arts Center on December 8, 2017.  Entries will be judged the following week, with prizes being awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and People’s Choice.  Prizes will be furnished by our event sponsors. Complete rules and guidelines are available online or through calling Parks & Recreation.  This event is sponsored by The Arts Center in Orange, Krecek Kakes, and Elysium Tree Farm!  Entries are accepted online through our entry form.
