Fall Programs
Basic Photography: Ages 13+, $99
Modern cameras are amazing tools. They can help us capture and preserve moments better than ever before, but their many features and terms can be overwhelming and intimidating. The main goal of this course is to help you become comfortable with your camera and gain a basic understanding of some photography concepts, so you can focus on the art of photography rather than the mechanics of your camera.  Students should provide their own camera, since the goal of this course is to help you become familiar with the camera you will be using.  This camera does not need to be a specific kind of camera, bring whatever you have.  Space is very limited, so pre-registration is required. The location of this course will be the Town of Orange Community Room on Warren Street.  Four 2-hour classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays.  The dates of these classes will be September 2, 4, 9, and 11, 2014.  There will be 8 total hours of instruction, including actual photo shoots.  Our instructor, Kent Potter, honorably served for 20 years in the Navy as a photographer, and has traveled much of the world with a camera. As a photojournalist his work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers around the world. His expertise in photography is vast and varied.

Kickball League: $125 per team
Play Kickball, Be Happy! Join our latest adult league and have some fun reliving everyone's favorite childhood game! Print a Kickball Team Registration Form and gather your troops! This league is for fun, competitive aspects are secondary. Games are planned to be held at Veteran's Park Field, next to Orange Elementary School, and games will be held beginning at 5:45pm on Mondays & Wednesdays. The season is expected to be five weeks long including playoffs, but this may be adjusted as necessary. Season format will be round-robin. Teams should be prepared to play once a week on either Monday or Wednesday, and may occassionally play twice a week (one game each day). Teams must have at least 10 members, and can have no more than 15 members. This is a COED league, teams must be prepared to have at least 3 female players play each game. Play is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2014. Teams must be registered by August 22, 2014. Our league plays by an adjusted set of rules. The most noticeable difference from standard play is that the kicking team provides their own pitcher, who gets one pitch. If the kick is fouled, the kicker is out. For more information, please view our complete set of rules. These may be adjusted as necessary. Please feel free to call with questions.
