Adult Programs
OCPR offers several adult programs, information on particular programs can be found below.  To learn about registering for a program, please visit our Registration Page.  Orange County Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel any program due to lack of interest, register early to ensure the viability of a program you are interested in.  Unless otherwise noted, all of our adult programs require pre-registration and are open to those 18 and older.

Winter Programs
Adult Dodgeball League, $60 per team
Our popular dodgeball league will return in 2015!  Registration will open on November 12, 2014 at 8am.  Play will begin in January and end in February (subject to change based upon weather).  Games will be held Wednesday evenings.  To help you begin preparing your team, here are some notes about team requirements.  Teams must be 6-12 players, with at least 3 female players on the roster.  All team members must be 18 years of age or older.  Birth dates for every player will be required on the team registration form.  Any player whose age is in question may be required to provide identification.  Get your team together and fill out a Dodgeball Team Registration Form.  Remember, these will not be accepted until November 12, 2014, and the $60 registration fee is due at the time of registration.  Only the first 8 teams to register and pay the registration fee will be able to participate.  Learn how to play the game by viewing our Rules & Regulations.  To get an idea what it's like to play this awesome game, view our Dodgeball Photo Gallery.

Introduction to Tai Chi, $95 per participant
Our Introduction to Tai Chi program continues through the winter, beginning Nov. 11 and continuing for 8 weeks of class.  Please note that the program will have some alternate & postponed dates to work around holidays and Dogwood Village events.  The last week of class will be the week of Jan. 20.   Learn this graceful, slow moving form of exercise practiced by young and old alike from an experienced instructor.  Classes are held in the Wellness Room of Dogwood Village's Senior Living Building (the new building).  Introduction classes are held on Tuesdays 10am-11am.  For more information about Tai Chi itself, visit our instructor's website

Intermediate Tai Chi, $95 per participant
Our Intermediate program continues this winter, beginning Nov. 13 and continuing for 8 weeks of class.  Please note that the program will have some alternate & postponed dates to work around holidays and Dogwood Village events. Some Wednesday classes will be required.  The last class date will be Jan. 22.  This program is for our experienced former students and new students with significant Tai Chi experience.  Classes are held in the Wellness Room of Dogwood Village's Senior Living Building (the new building). Ongoing Programs
Introduction to Tai Chi, $95 per session
Our Tai Chi program is now offered in 8 week sessions.  New Introduction sessions will be offered regularly and will be listed above.  Additionally, those interested in joining a currently ongoing session should contact OCPR for information about how you can join.  Our Introduction to Tai Chi programs are offered at the Dogwood Village Senior Living Building in the Wellness Room.  It is open to all adults 18+.  For more information about Tai Chi itself, please visit our instructor's website.
