Orange Youth Sports Foundation
About the Foundation
The Orange Youth Sports Foundation, OYSF, is a county wide, collaborative non-profit group that facilitates organization, communication, and cooperation between all member youth sports programs, local governments and schools through coordinated operations, constant fundraising and shared resources in order to promote a positive environment where all Orange County youth may participate, experience success, enjoy growth and have fun through the character building, healthful benefits of competitive sports.

Programs
The OYSF provides football, basketball, and cheerleading programs.

Football
The football program, for ages 5-14, is a member of the Thomas Jefferson Youth Football League, or TJYFL, which consists of programs from Albemarle, Augusta, Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Greene, Orange, and Nelson Counties. Regular season games are played within these counties.

The football portion of the cheerleading program takes place during the same season. Sign ups begin in June. Practice begins in August and the season begins in September.

Basketball
The basketball program, for ages 6-13, does not involve travel during the regular season. Regular season games are held at the Hornet Sports Center. The basketball portion of the cheerleading program takes place during the same season. Sign ups begin in November. Practices begin in December and games begin in January.
