Hornet Volleyball Camp
Orange County Parks & Recreation is partnering with the school volleyball coaches to offer an intensive volleyball camp for rising 6-9th grade girls interested in the sport.  Learn and/or improve skills like serving, passing, blocking, setting and hitting.  Practice and refine skills before tryout time!  This camp will be held for four consecutive days, June 25-28, from 4-7pm each day.  Camp will be hosted at the Hornet Sports Center (Field House).  The registration fee is $75 per participant, which includes a camp t-shirt.  Pre-registration is required (register through Parks & Recreation) and should be completed by the 6/15/18 deadline.

British Soccer Camp
This program is brought to you in partnership with Challenger Sports.  Challenger Sports' British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the country based upon one of the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the US and Canada.  Experienced, international staff study the game at all levels and help players improve their core techniques and become more confident on the ball.  With programs for each age, the curriculum includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games and coached scrimmages.  World Cup style games are held each day where campers compete for their adopted country and are encouraged to learn about different customs and cultures, and our core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.  Registration is available online through Challenger Sports' Website.  Registrations received within 10 days of the start day will have a $10 late fee assessed.

Paint Your Pet (Pet Portrait Art Class)
Provide us with a picture of your pet, and we will have a pre-sketched canvas ready for your child to paint and take home! This one-day afternoon program will be held on Tuesday, July 17 from 2-4:30pm.  Space is limited, and the registration fee is $30.  You must pre-register and provide us with the photo of your pet in advance. The deadline to register is 7/9/18, but spots may fill quicker.  Registrations received after the deadline will be charged a $5 late fee.  This program is open to all kids grades K-8.

Archery Summer Exploratory Camp
Get an extended introduction to the sport of archery with our summer exploratory camp.  Three 2.5 hour sessions will help your child learn range safety, basic shot technique, archery target scoring, and more!  The instructor is OCPR staff and USA Archery certified.  All equipment will be provided.  This program will be held at Booster Park.  The registration fee is $85, plus a $10 late fee if registered later than 7/6/18.  Space is limited and registration will close once the maximum number of participants is reached, even if before the deadline.

Youth Guitar Lessons
OCPR is offering youth acoustic guitar lessons!  Classes will be held in the Sedwick Building upstairs conference room (this is the same building as the OCPR office and the Orange Public Library) on Tuesdays, August 28 through October 16.  Classes will be held from 5:30-6:30pm.  The registration fee is $80.  Students should provide their own guitar, but other materials will be provided.  Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
