Orange County Disc Golf Course
Assembled basket in our office.PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE DISC GOLF COURSE IS CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT.  IT IS NOT YET PLAYABLE.  The Orange County Disc Golf Course is expected to open in Spring of 2019.  For those unfamiliar with the sport, disc golf is similar to traditional golf in that a player makes successive attempts to finish a hole, desiring to finish a hole with the fewest attempts.  Instead of balls and clubs, disc golf is played with discs of varying design, which are analogous to the different clubs in traditional golf (there are putter discs, mid-range discs, and driver discs, with immense variation in a category).  Instead of ground holes, players attempt to land discs in specially-designed, chain-laden baskets.  The sport has grown much over recent years, and is enjoyed at several other locations in central Virginia.  For more information about the sport, visit

Our course will be located at the Thomas E. Lee Industrial Park, at the first lot on the left (across from St. Gabriel Laboratories and Lohmann Specialty Coatings).  It will be an 18-hole recreational course, with predominantly open terrain and mostly par 3 holes.  The course has been made possible through the support of many groups and individuals.  However, there are still some ways to help support this endeavor.

To help support the development of the disc golf course, you can:

Become a Hole Sponsor
Intended for businesses, this option allows a business or organization to support a particular hole on the course.  They will be recognized on a sign at the entrance of the course as well as most of the space on the tee box sign at their particular hole.  Sponsorship costs $500 for a 3-year initial commitment, but will be renewable for $100 annually following the original time frame.  We have only a limited number of these sponsorships remaining, so please don't delay.  To sponsor a hole, please complete the Hole Sponsorship Form and return it to Orange County Parks & Recreation with your payment.

Buy a Founder's Club DiscAn example Founder's Club disc.
Intended for individuals and families, this option allows you to buy a limited-edition commemorative disc which recognizes the effort to create the course.  These discs are Innova Whale putters in Champion Glow plastic, weighing 175g.  There were only 100 of these made.  Those who purchase these discs will be recognized on a permanent sign at the course.  Act fast, most of these are already sold.  The cost is $20, or $28 with shipping and handling.  To purchase one, please complete our Founder's Club Form and return it to Orange County Parks & Recreation with your payment.
