Office on Youth
Office of Youth logoMission Statement
To prevent juvenile delinquency and promote positive youth development.

About Us

The Orange County Office on Youth has been in existence since 1987, serving the youth of Orange County. Our focus is to enhance the quality of life for our youth and families by effectively addressing youth concerns, assessing needs for services, increasing community collaboration, and assisting in establishing and/or offering programs for positive youth development.

The Office on Youth is administered by the Orange County Administrator and Board of Supervisors. In addition, the office works with the Orange Youth Commission, an appointed eleven member advisory board, to address the needs of the youth within our community.

A number of programs are offered each year, including, but not limited to, the Virginia Comprehensive Services Act, three school age child care programs, and Michael’s Gift. Please browse our site for more information on individual programs.

April is Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month
The Orange County Office on Youth is working to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect and promote childhood happiness.  April is Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month and we need your help!  The pinwheel is the national symbol for the cause and the Office on Youth will be planting pinwheel gardens to span Orange County for the month of April to display our community's commitment to child abuse and neglect prevention.  Each $1.00 received will be used to purchase a pinwheel from Prevent Child Abuse Virginia.  Remaining proceeds will benefit Orange County Food Pantries.  Together we can make a difference in the life of a child!
