OCPR’s next Tai Chi Fundamentals Session begins November 28, 2017 and will continue for 8 weeks of classes (skipping Dec. 26). Have fun learning graceful, slow moving form of exercise that has ancient roots tracing back into the depths of Chinese culture and philosophy of centuries past. Classes are held at Dogwood Village in the Senior Living Building Wellness Room on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Signups for our ongoing Tai Chi programs are accepted at any time during a program. The registration fee for this program is $95. Open to adults. Pre-registration is required.

Acoustic Guitar Lessons
Did you get a new guitar as a gift?  OCPR is offering youth and adult acoustic guitar lessons to ring in the new year!  Classes will be held in the Sedwick Building upstairs conference room (this is the same building as the OCPR office and the Orange Public Library) on Tuesdays, January 9 through February 27.  Youth classes will be held from 5:30-6:30pm, with adult classes following from 6:30-7:30pm.  The registration fee for youth program is $80, and it is $90 for the adult program.  Students should provide their own guitar, but other materials will be provided.  Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Mid Life Crisis Old School PE
If you're 40 or better, come join OCPR staff and relive the glory days of gym class games.  We'll get together each week for four consecutive Wednesday evenings (Jan. 10 - Jan. 31) at the TEAC (Old Prospect Heights) gym and let the good times roll with classics like capture the flag, dodgeball, four-square, and more!  This program will have a pickup style format, and no standings will be kept.  Just sign up and have fun!  The registration fee is just $15!  Pre-registration is required, we can't accept drop-ins.

Pickleball Introductory Clinic
Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.  In recent years it is has gained quick popularity among seniors, but is a great game for anyone!  This clinic will be instructed by USAPA Ambassador W. Scott Walker, and is intended to introduce the game and build interest for more pickleball programming we may offer in the future!  The clinic will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at the TEAC (Old Prospect) gymnasium.  The address is 200 Dailey Drive, Orange, VA 22960.  The registration fee is just $5, but pre-registration is required.
