To prevent juvenile delinquency and promote positive youth development.

Purpose

The Office of Youth was established to meet the needs of youth and families in Orange County. The office addresses the mission statement through identification and coordination of local services, needs assessments and planning, program development, and advocating for youth and families.

Orange County Interagency Council was established in 1988 to assist in coordinating services and for planning. It is comprised of members of youth-serving agencies and groups, and meets on a quarterly basis to share programming and address the needs of our youth. This group also serves to develop the "Comprehensive Delinquency Prevention and Youth Development Needs Assessments and Plan."
