Important Information Regarding Soccer
The newly formed Orange Soccer Association will now be managing the Fall & Spring soccer programs. This organization is a solid and dedicated group that has worked closely with Orange County Parks & Recreation and will continue to do so. We had a very successful Spring soccer program this past season and we believe the Orange Soccer Association will build upon that success. You can find more information about the OSA at: www.orangesoccerassociation.com, or by emailing orangesoccerassociation@gmail.com. They are also on Facebook as the Orange Soccer Association.

The Orange County Parks and Recreation Department (OCPR) is primarily responsible for the development of leisure activities for the citizens of Orange County. We also schedule the county facility at Barboursville Community Park.
OCPR provides a wide variety of organized leisure activities for all ages including: Instruction classes such as CPR and First Aid, youth sports league (soccer) and adult league (volleyball), educational/recreational camps (soccer), contract classes (karate and ski/snowboard program with Massanutten,), dance classes and hunter safety programs.
OCPR also offers discount tickets to many area theme parks: Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens (Williamsburg), and Water Country.
The Orange Parks and Recreation office is located in the Sedwick Building on Madison Road. It handles the daily operation of all programs and services provided by the department. All forms collected off site are consolidated with the main office. Duties include: program development and implementation, collections of registration forms and fees, and dissemination of schedules, equipment and information. The Department is under the direction of Tim Moubray, Director, Orange County Parks and Recreation.
The Parks and Recreation office is always looking for talented people to hold classes and share their talent with the community. Please call the OCPR office if you are interested in sharing your talents, 672-5435.
OCPR no longer operates the before and after school programs for Orange County. These programs are now under the Office on Youth. They continue to operate two before and after school programs within the county. These programs represent the majority of center based child care within Orange County. These sites provide a safe environment for over 150 children. Hours of operation vary slightly but in general operate from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday thru Friday. The programs are located at Gordon Barbour Elementary School and Orange Elementary School. They operate before and after school programs during the school year and a full day program during the summer. Please call the Office on Youth for more information, 672-5484.
