Voter Registration
The Orange County Registrar's office is located on the second floor in the Sedwick Building on Madison Road.
The county consists of five voting districts. Citizens voting for members of the Board of Supervisors and School Board can only vote within their district. Citizens in each district vote for Constitutional Officers, including Sheriff, Treasurer, Commissioner of Revenue, Commonwealth's Attorney, and Clerk of the Court. The county was redistricted in 2001, following the 2000 census.

Most of the county falls within the 30th District of the Virginia General Assembly. A small segment of the county's western region is in the 58th District of the Virginia General Assembly.
In the state Senate, Orange County is represented in the 17th District.
Orange County is represented in the 7th Congressional District
of the U. S. House of Representatives.
To vote in an upcoming election, citizens must be 18 years old, and have registered 30 days prior to the scheduled election.
