Overview
The Orange County Public Library provides citizens with materials, information, and services to meet their life needs in a variety of ways. Our library system provides free library services to residents of Orange County, Virginia and its adjoining counties. We offer over 135,000 items for checkout, online content such as eBooks and databases, free public access computers, free Wi-Fi, programs for children and young adults, and community meeting spaces.
Our library is governed by a six-member Library Board of Trustees, which is responsible for setting policies, devising a budget and hiring and supervising the library director. The library director is in charge of day to day operations. The Library operates using a community driven strategic plan which is revised annually.
