Epidemic Intelligence Council (EpIC)

History of EpICIMG_6897 (002).jpg

The first Epidemic Intelligence Council (EpIC) meeting was held on February 14, 2018 and we have met nearly every month since that date. The initial intent of EpIC was to simply create an opportunity for information sharing, education, collaboration, and to document available resources as well as the resources we are still in need of to address the opioid crisis within the Orange Community. Anyone can attend and participate in an EpIC meeting. We have a cross section of community leaders and citizens who attend. Nearly all participants have been impacted by the opioid crisis; either directly or indirectly, but this is not a prerequisite. EpIC meets typically on the third Thursday of each month from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at the Orange County Airport Conference room. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Orange DSS Director, Crystal Hale, at (540) 672-1155.
