Thanksgiving Assistance Program

The Orange County Department of Social Services is pleased to help coordinate Thanksgiving meal assistance to those in need in our community. This assistance is made possible thanks to the generous support of our community members.

The period to request Thanksgiving meal assistance has closed for 2023.

Provide Assistance to Someone in Need

Support can be provided as follows. Those interested may contribute as many donations or meals as they like.  

If you would like to help, please complete the Holiday Assistance Program Form and return it to Social Services no later than November 13, 2023.

Donation

Just $25 helps support the purchase of a Thanksgiving meal for someone in our community. Checks should be made out to "Orange Social Services" and mailed to:

To best help our neighbors, please complete donations towards this program by November 13, 2023.

Provide a Meal

If you wish, you may provide an actual meal for someone in need. Meals must include either a turkey or ham and sides appropriate for a Thanksgiving meal. Meals must be dropped off at the Social Services office on November 17, 2023, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

IMPORTANT: Please return the Holiday Assistance Program Form and return it to Social Services by November 13, 2023 to indicate that you plan to drop-off a Thanksgiving meal.
