Orange County, VA – The Orange County Communications Department released another episode of “Orange County Talks…” with a behind the scenes tour of the new public safety building.
The Communications Department interviewed Kurt Hildebrand, Assistant County Administrator for Operations, who has overseen the construction of the building. Hildebrand gave viewers a tour of the various wings which will house the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Fire & EMS Administration, the Emergency Communications Center, Information Technology Department, and a multipurpose meeting room that will be utilized for both Board of Supervisors’ meetings and the Emergency Operations Center.
Stephanie Straub, Public Information Officer and Assistant to the County Administrator, said, “Our goal was to provide the community with an update on the progress we’ve made with the project. The Board has invested resources in the tools and technologies utilized by our public safety staff, many of which will be housed in the new building, such as the computer aided dispatch and radio systems. We are excited to bring these public safety projects to fruition.”
