The Orange County Department of Social Services is offering two Town Hall meetings this month at elementary and middle schools in Orange County. The first meeting will be held on March 15 at Gordon Barbour Elementary from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. The second meeting will be held on March 22 at Locust Grove Middle School from 6 p.m.-7 p.m.
These Town Hall meetings are a new initiative to provide more information to the community on programs and assistance that Orange County Social Services offers to its citizens. In addition to program information, updates will be given on new changes to benefits assistance programs like SNAP and Medicaid.
There will also be a Q & A session at the end of the session. “Our goal in doing these Town Halls are to broader connect with the community in Orange County and explain what our office does for those who don’t know,” Crystal Hale, Director said.
