The monthly meeting of the Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) for the Orange County Children's Services Act (CSA) program.

Public Safety Building Open House

Orange County invites the public to attend an open house event at the Public Safety Building, located at 11282 Government Center Dr., Orange, VA on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. The event will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the first guided tour provided at 1:00 p.m. No reservation or registration is required. Tours will be offered every 30 minutes until the event ends at 3:00 p.m. During the tours, participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at public safety operations, including the Sherriff’s Office, the Emergency Communications Center, Information Technology, and Fire & EMS. A free hot dog lunch will be provided to tour participants in to-go containers. During the event, the rotunda of the Public Safety Building will feature booths with information about other county departments, volunteer opportunities, and more. Residents are encouraged to attend the open house and learn more about the new facility, and the agencies who are housed there.

OCPR "Would Chuck" Disc Golf OPEN League

Have fun, get exercise, and make friends during our summer disc golf leagues! New this year, a separate league will be offered for those 50 and older! Leagues will meet weekly for a round of play beginning the week of May 22, 2022. The Open League will play on Tuesdays, the 50 and Older League on Wednesdays. Thursdays will be reserved as rain makeup dates for either (or both) leagues. Every week for eight weeks, players will meet at the Orange County Disc Golf Course and play a round in groups of three or four. The player with the lowest score will receive the highest points for the week, with standings kept cumulatively throughout the season. Prizes (non-monetary) will be awarded at the conclusion of the league. Have a vacation scheduled during the season? No worries! We’ll drop your worst score to allow for a missed week (or a particularly bad round).
